Niels Bohr (1885-1962)
Bohr championed quantum mechanics, and issued the challenge to Einstein, "God does play dice with the universe." Einstein disagreed but still recognized Bohr's genius, calling him "unquestionably one of the greatest discoverers of our age in the scientific field." Bohr proposed a new dynamic model of the atom derived from work on spectral lines and his brilliant leap to complementarity was destined to fame and glory.
